A Trip to Isha Yoga Centre
After a rainy week, it was time for the sun to come out and probably for us too! A short meet-up was planned all of a sudden by my group of four friends. And As it goes by the saying, the unplanned trip gives good memories and I made few too……
Starting at 7am from Home, we reached the Isha Adiyogi location by 9am after finishing our breakfast quickly on the way. The monsoon rain has made the surroundings greener and more beautiful than usual. The air was cool and refreshing.
Simply amazed by the 112 feet height statue which was right in front of us. It stood as a symbol of hope and peace. The area surrounding the statue was covered with coconut and palm trees. We clicked some good pictures out there and enjoyed the breeze. Since it was a weekend, there was an early morning crowd of people from different states and cultures. It was quite interesting to watch a diversified culture out there.
At the entrance of Dhyanalinga, we have to hand over the mobile phones which ended my photography mood. And it was a good decision made by the Isha management which made us involve completely with nature and surroundings. We progressed our way to Suryakund and felt the chillness of the waterfall (man-made) from a distance (as it was not allowed to take bath there today for some reason). We sat near it, chit-chatted, relaxed, and started moving to the Linga Bhairavi location.
After Linga Bhairavi, we reached Dhyanalinga where a set of volunteers welcomed us with "Vanakkam" in a sweet and gentle manner. The Dhyanalinga architecture is brilliant which has a dome-shaped structure with a Shivalinga in the middle. Surrounding the Shivalinga, there were small tents for meditation for everyone individually. We sat in one such tent for around 15mins amidst the beauty of the architecture. In the end, we made back our way to Adiyogi through the same bull cart and dispersed.
Being at the roots of Vellingiri mountain, Isha is one such spot of eternal beauty. It's a place of complete solace for everyone who visits it!
